This game was made as part of the 7 day CareJam in 2021 In the US, "One in five health-care workers has left their job since the pandemic started." (The Atlantic, November 16th 2021) In the UK, "Mental health problems quadrupled in NHS staff during the first wave of Covid-19" (Nursing Times, April 30th 2021) In this game we want to highlight the almost impossible choices and conditions healthcare workers are sometimes asked to work under. You play as a healthcare worker at a hospital. Your job is to give the best possible essential care to the patients in the room, without running out of time and energy. Your choices don't just affect the patients wellbeing, but the result also has an impact on the players wellbeing.
