Road to Valhalla is a Metroidvania based around Norse Mythology. Play as a Valkyrae traversing different environments, obtaining new abilities and power ups, fighting different and powerful enemies, and exploring the environment around you! Obtain your goal of reaching the top of the very last level by defeating enemies, navigating across difficult and fun platforming challenges, and using your character abilities to your advantage! PLATFORMING MADE DIFFICULT: Some platforms may require an ability to traverse, while other platforms are more sporadic, random, and fast! Try to climb your way up avoiding the harsh terrain such as spikes, thorns, and fast moving objects! TOO MANY ENEMIES? NO PROBLEM! Some areas can be flooded with enemies that may be overwhelming. Well luckily for you, you are properly equipped for the situation. Gather mana by defeating enemies to unlock your ultimate ability! A GIANT LASER BEAM! Not only will this ability obliterate anything and everything in your way, but it can also pierce through walls into other areas within the level! Use it wisely and to your advantage! This game is a student project created at the University of Utah's Entertainment Arts and Engineering program.
