Nautilus is a 3D survival horror game where the player, the last survivor of a failed expedition to the ocean bottom, must survive against marine monsters and reach the surface, finding in the process the secret behind the incident and the origin of the creatures. This game is created with the intention to be an asphyxiant experience, with a heavy atmosphere and a challenging difficulty. Fighting monsters is not always the best choice, and the resources are very poor, so you need to be careful with each step. The game concept is inspired in games like Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space, the mechanics in the genre Metroidvania like Hollow Knight and the style is inspired in the games of the console PlayStation (the first one). Our intention with this project is create our first game concept, focusing on the mechanics, the atmosphere and in the feeling of the player controlling a heavy character in a hostile and unfair situation. The game is Windows only for the time. The shaders were obtained from github.
