This is my entry for The Icehouse Jam 2021 #IcehouseJam2021 https://itch.io/jam/icehouse-jam-2021 The theme of this Jam was "An old game that you loved". I chose to make tribute to Final Fantasy 7 (PS1 version), the game that made me fall in love with J-RPG, japanese design and video games in general. You'll easily recognise a similitude with the Gold Saucer. A game created by Simon Mesnard https://linktr.ee/simonmesnard Currently in English onlyVersion notes: Version 1.0.3 (post game jam) comes up in 3 different versions depending on your tastes: - Default PS1 version is recommended, it is how the game was made to be played, reminicent of FF7 on the Playstation 1. What you can see in screenshots. - HD N64 version comes up if you really can't stand big pixels: it looks like a hd-emulated N64 game with blurry textures. - The CRT version is the same as the normal version but with a retro CRT filter added, for those who want to dive deeper into the 90s... Except for the graphics change, the game remains exactly the same from one version to another. Every new chapter of Francium is made in a different graphic style. Don't miss the other chapters! (see below) About: "Francium At the Golden Saucer is a comical adventure taking place in a world of robots, in a museum-city that can remind of beautiful villages of France in the old world, before mankind disapeared from the surface of the Earth. In this episode, the Fallen King of Francium, who is a little depressed, is invited to visit the amusement park The Golden Saucer. Things are fun, but will it last for long? ..." I developed it in 3 weeks from scratch, with a few existing assets (see credits) and all new ones (park, new characters, etc...). The game is quite short (30 minutes) and could contain unknown issues. Made with 3dsmax, Unity and Adventure Creator. Gameplay info: Move with keyboard (zqsd or wasd, or arrows) Use or talk with left click. Open or close inventory with right click. Show options menu with Escape. Not recommended to use Save system. If possible, make sure to have an hour before you to play the game all at once without saving.
